February Meeting Minutes 2017

Hi Everyone, Today we held our February 19, 2017 meeting.

PRESENT: Deb, Mike, Jan, Dawn, Sharon, Chris, Marlys, Erin, Mary.

TALKING STICK 26: The March 1 deadline is coming up fast. Please get your submissions handed in soon! Remember the new short short forms we want this year.

We have the three judges and the workshop instructor and the Editorial Board ready to go. We have the workshop and book party set for Blueberry Pines on Sept. 16, 2017.

MISCELLANEOUS: We are done with Richard’s poetry book Selenity and it is on order. We are now working on Mike’s second book Down at the Dock.

Sharon is enjoying another online poetry class at the Loft. These are great!

Tarah, who does the layout for our Talking Stick books and all other books we publish, is in the Wall Street Journal! Tarah also has a DIY site at www.grandmashousediy.com. Here she shows before and after photos of many projects she has done in her house. She and her husband have completely redone the old farmhouse where her grandparents lived for over 50 years. Much of the renovation is on this site also.

WRITING EVENTS: August 12 is the big Hackensack Book Art event in Hackensack MN. We have a table lined up. So does Mike.
