For many years, we supported ourselves with donations, book sales, and a few grants. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult for us to fund our books. Without your support and donations, there would be no Jackpine Writers’ Bloc and no Talking Stick books. Remember, your tax donation is tax deductible. We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.

July Meeting Minutes 2018

Hi Everyone, today we held our July meeting.

PRESENT:

TALKING STICK:

We are pretty much done with Talking Stick 27 and will probably order our books this coming week.

TS BOOK RELEASE PARTY AND WORKSHOP:

Be sure to get signed up for the book party and workshop. We still have room for a few more in the workshop. Remember we will be in a new location this year, at Smokey Hills Resort near Osage MN. (They are changing their name to the Branch at some point.) Sharon Chmielarz will be putting on the all-genre workshop. The date is Saturday Sept. 22, 2018. Email sharrick1@wcta.net to sign up. Flyers will be emailed again.

WRITING EVENTS:

Ryan recommended Write Better Faster with R. L. Syme. Go to https://app.ruzuku.com/courses/28351/about for more information. This is an online course. You will leave the class with a set of strategies and tactics that will help you do your best work, be your most productive, and accomplish your writing goals.
