November Meeting Minutes 2025

Hello Everyone,

Today we held our November meeting.

PRESENT:

Mike, Ryan, Marlys, Sharon, Erin, Jan, Niomi.

TALKING STICK:

Pretty soon it will be December and we will be sending out the call for submissions for Talking Stick 35. Talking Stick 34 is selling on Amazon and our writer friends have been sending in donations.

PRLAAC MEETING:

Items mentioned: Art Leap getting donations, Christmas Tree Lighting in downtown Park Rapids, band concerts and the symphony, Park Theater Naughty and Nice, Historical Society, etc.

EVENTS:

There will be a poetry slam in Bemidji at Fozzie’s at 7 PM this Thursday Nov. 20.

Mike recently sold books at a craft sale at a hospital in Big Fork.

Erin is taking an online class called Break the Poetic Line with Danusha Lameris. For more information on her classes, go to www.danushalameris.com.

Ryan will be teaching a Photography and Photoshop class in the near future.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Tarah and Sharon are working on publishing three books at the same time—a book of essays by Dawn T, a book of poetry by Richard S, and a novel by Niomi P. Nothing like being busy!

We had a great time listening to each other read things we have been working on. The others commented, complimented, and critiqued. It was one of those days where we hated to quit visiting and leave!

We will skip our December meeting since it would be too close to Christmas. We will meet again in January. Hope to see you then!
